A LOCAL veterans’ charity is set to mark the anniversary of VE Day by holding a pop-up café this weekend.
Garelochhead Station Trust is organising the event on Saturday, May 8 - 76 years after the allied forces accepted the surrender of Germany in World War Two, marking the end of the war in Europe.
Locals are invited to visit the Gibson Hall from 11am till 3pm for a cup of tea or coffee and a piece of cake.
Any donations raised on the day will go towards the Trust’s work with former service personnel in the area.
See garelochheadstationtrust.co.uk for more information.
