LITTLE superheroes filled the classrooms at Hermitage Primary last week to celebrate Red Nose Day.
Pupils at the Helensburgh school enjoyed a day of fun on Friday and raised some cash for Comic Relief by dressing up as their favourite fictional characters.
And the school building was buzzing with happy children as the day coincided with the first Friday that all pupils were physically back in the classroom following lockdown.
In a special virtual assembly the youngsters and their teachers reflected on the superpowers they’ve all demonstrated over the past year, such as staying motivated when learning at home was tough, and lifting the spirits of family members or friends who needed cheering up.

Head teacher Elspeth Davis said: “One of our school values is ‘be kind’ and we recognise this as a superpower we can show, not just during lockdown or on Red Nose Day, but every day of the year.
“Our kindness on Red Nose Day generated £375 in donations which we are delighted to send to the charity.
"Pupils across the school took part in some fun activities within their bubbles, which included joke-telling, quizzes and a special ‘Red Nose Run’.”
