TWO teenage girls have been charged with breaching Covid-19 travel restrictions after they reportedly contacted police to say they were stranded in Helensburgh.
Officers were contacted by the pair, aged 15 and 16, in East Princes Street shortly after midnight on Sunday, February 7.

According to police the girls were from the Motherwell area and had travelled to Helensburgh by train earlier in the day only to be stranded after the last train left.
Due to the girls’ age, police facilitated their return to their home areas. They were also charged with breaking the rules on travel during the pandemic.
