HELENSBURGH'S favourite drag queen has name-checked his home town in a hit single that has soared to the top of the iTunes charts.
Lawrence Chaney, a former Hermitage Academy pupil, reached the number one spot on Friday with 'UK Hun?', performed alongside fellow RuPaul's Drag Race UK stars Tayce, Bimini Bon-Boulash and A’Whora.
The quartet, joining forces on the BBC Three series to become The United Kingdolls, and facing off against rivals Bananadrama, won the show's version of the Eurovision Song Contest - aptly renamed Ruruvision, with host Graham Norton acting as a judge.
In Thursday's episode, which can be watched on BBC iPlayer, Lawrence's opening verse says:
Dancing to a Highland jig
Lawrence Chaney's up in this gig
From Helensburgh to Edinburgh
Everywhere I go I'm snatching wigs
I made my name in Glasgow city
Can't sing or dance but I'm so witty
Me and my dolls are on a mission
Going to take this crown for RuRuvision
And fans of the show have been quick to snap up digital versions of the single, sending it to the top of the iTunes charts ahead of established artists like Taylor Swift and Pink.
Lawrence took to Twitter last night:
Me after finding out that a song I’m in is Number 1 in the charts!! 😂💜@jamescharles #scalped pic.twitter.com/TWE4VsNRcm

Other social media users reacted with disbelief upon hearing the Burgh name-dropped in the track:
My mind can’t process the absolute insanity and surrealism of Helensburgh getting a shoutout in a Drag Race song @ShadyLawrence
