FATHER Christmas paid a special early visit to the homes of Helensburgh and Lomond children over the weekend.
Local charity Fun First arranged for Santa Claus to deliver some festive magic ahead of schedule as he handed out more than 20 craft and treat packs to youngsters throughout the community.
Families who signed up their little ones for Fun First’s virtual Christmas party, which will be held online this weekend, received goodies including jingle bells, decorations and materials to make Christmas hats, as well as tasty chocolate reindeers courtesy of the new Morrisons store in Cardross Road.

And as a charity dedicated to encouraging early literacy each pack contained a picture book for families to share in the run up to Christmas. These were kindly provided by Veronica Nicol, who owns local online business The Body Shop at Home.
The fun doesn’t stop there as the festive celebrations continue via Zoom this Saturday, December 12, with Father Christmas making an appearance by video link from his workshop at the North Pole.
Any children aged five and under (and their parents) who would like to join in the Fun First virtual Christmas Zoom party are asked to send a message to Fun First via Facebook, or contact manager Vicky Brindley on vicky@funfirst.org.uk for the link.
