A CYCLIST has died after a crash on the A814 near Cardross.
Police received a report of a road traffic collision involving a bicycle and a Volkswagen Golf about half a mile west of the village at around 4.45pm on Tuesday, November 10.
A police spokesperson said: "Emergency services attended; however, the 40-year-old male cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
"The road was closed for several hours while crash investigators conducted enquiries.

"A 44-year-old was arrested and charged in connection with alleged road traffic offences.
"He is due to appear at Dumbarton Sheriff Court on Wednesday, November 11."
The road, which is understood to have been shut between Darleith Road in Cardross and the Hermitage Academy roundabout in Helensburgh, reopened in the early hours of Wednesday.
