The MAID of the Loch paddle steamer will take on a spooky "point of sail" this Saturday as it welcomes children along to a special Hallowe'en event.
The Loch Lomond Steamship Company, the charity which owns the paddle steamer, is inviting children to dress up in their favourite costume on Saturday, October 31 and head along to enjoy the festivities on board the ship at her Balloch Pier berth.
There will be a prize for the best dressed entrant, and Maid staff will be joining in costume too.
Each ticket will give a child a cup cake, soft drink, and goodie bag and there will be a treasure hunt, and lots of fun games.
The boat itself will be dressed up as a ghost ship with lots of scary special effects to mark the occasion.
The ship’s tearoom will be open as usual for adults to enjoy a coffee and cake, or lunch.
There are four time slots, each with a maximum of 30 children, from 11am to 12pm, 12pm to 2pm, 2pm to 3.30pm and 3.30pm to 5pm.
And that's not all: this Sunday, November 1, the Maid's engines will be 'in steam', and there will be a special display of vintage cars at the pier between 11.30am and 2pm.
