THIS year’s Cove and Kilcreggan Book Festival will follow similar events across the country by going digital.
Broadcasters Kirsty Wark and Sally Magnusson will be joined by former Home Secretary Alan Johnston at the digital festival on Saturday, November 21.
Helensburgh book lovers will be able to watch the events online, with three talks in the morning and a further three in the afternoon.
The hosts will also be available afterwards, but organisers have asked to people to log in on the day and a link for the event will be made available closer to the time.

The trio will also be joined by Peter Ross, whose newly published ‘A Tomb With A View’ received rave reviews, talking about his journeys around the country’s graveyards. Peter Geoghegan will speak about his own chart-topping book, Democracy for Sale, before Clare Hunter discusses her Radio 4 book of the week, Threads of Life.
A Cove Burgh Hall spokesperson said: “At last we can confirm that there will be a seventh Cove and Kilcreggan Book Festival this November, as news of a successful grant application reached the committee a few days ago.”
