PEOPLE in Helensburgh who are interested in finding out what 5G communications are really all about – without any of the Covid-19 conspiracy theories – are being invited to join a Zoom presentation on the subject this week.
The Helensburgh Garelochside Rotary Club is hosting a talk by Professor Robert Stewart from Strathclyde University explaining what 5G is and how it is used now and might be used in the future.
Professor Stewart has more than 30 years of experience in wireless and mobile technology, and now chairs and manages the ‘5G New Thinking’ project funded jointly by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport and technology firm Cisco.
The talk takes place tonight (Monday, October 5) – the Zoom meeting will open at 6pm and the formal meeting starts at 6.30pm.
If you’re interested in finding out more by attending the presentation, email club secretary John Macpherson on macpherson.john@btinternet.com and you’ll be sent an invitation shortly before the meeting begins.
