FRONT line health workers in Garelochhead and the surrounding area are being offered free membership of their local bowling club as a ‘thank you’ for their efforts during the coronavirus pandemic.
Garelochhead Bowling Club has made the offer in support of an initiative from Bowls Scotland, the game’s Scottish governing body, encouraging clubs across the country to show their gratitude for front line workers for their dedication, perseverance and sacrifices during the Covid-19 outbreak.
Anyone who is not currently a member of a bowling club, and would like to take up the Garelochhead offer, will be able to become a member of the club without charge for the rest of the 2020-21 season, running until February 28, 2021.

The limited number of free memberships available at the Garelochhead club means that priority is being given to NHS front line workers initially.
The offer is open until Friday, October 16.
Front line NHS workers interested in becoming Garelochhead members should contact the club on 01436 810190 between 5.30pm and 8.30pm, Monday to Friday, and leave their contact details with bar staff.
Evidence of being an NHS worker will be required in due course.
