TRAIN passengers in Helensburgh are being urged to postpone their journeys after ScotRail warned of major disruption to services.
Damage to overhead electric wires on Wednesday morning means all services are cancelled between Dalmuir and Dumbarton Central.
ScotRail says the disruption is expected to continue until 3pm.
Helensburgh-Edinburgh services are not operating west of Dalmuir, while Balloch-Airdrie trains are not running west of Hyndland, and Dumbarton-Springburn trains are not running west of Garscadden.
ScotRail also says it is "currently unable to offer ticket acceptance with local bus companies" and has recommended postponing any journeys until later today.
As this article was published ScotRail said it was working to secure rail replacement transport between Helensburgh/Balloch and Dalmuir in both directions.
More disruption information is available at the ScotRail page on JourneyCheck or by following ScotRail on Twitter.
