POLICE in Helensburgh are appealing for information from the public after a spate of graffiti vandalism in the town.

Officers are investigating several incidents of vandalism in the area which all make mention of a local male currently in prison appealing for his release.

All have been painted in black spray paint and in areas near to Helensburgh Cricket and Rugby Club on Rhu Road Higher.

The person or persons responsible are “costing the public vast amounts of money on repairs”, according to police.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Helensburgh police office on 101.

Alternatively, information can be passed on anonymously by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
