THREE hillwalkers from Motherwell have been fined for breaching lockdown restrictions after they were rescued from the Cobbler near Arrochar.
The village's mountain rescue team was called out by Police Scotland at 3.20pm on Sunday, May 24, after the walkers got lost in the mist.
The mountain rescue team said in a statement on their Facebook page: "All three were located and safely escorted down the hill (from a safe distance).

"Police met them at the bottom to discuss/explain the current Scottish regulation on travel during lockdown and issued them with the relevant fine."
Sunday's callout – the first for the Arrochar team since the lockdown began in March – followed an incident in which three men from Airdrie were fined after travelling 40 miles to Loch Lomond to go fishing.
