A LAMB has been killed after it was attacked by a dog at a farm just outside Helensburgh, according to police.
A local farmer working on his land near Glen Fruin reportedly saw a dog attacking one of his lambs at around 2pm on Saturday, April 25, before taking control of the dog and contacting police.
Officers attended the scene a short time later, but the lamb had died from its injuries.

Police say a 54-year-old local man was identified as the pet’s owner and he was charged with contravening legislation on the protection of livestock.
A report has been sent to the procurator fiscal and the local authority dog warden has also been made aware of the incident for the consideration of a dog control notice to be imposed.
