POLICE in Helensburgh are appealing for the public's help after a construction site in Garelochhead was deliberately set on fire.
Emergency services attended a report of a fire at the site of new homes being built on the junction of Linn Walk and Feorlin Way in the village at around 9pm on Tuesday, April 7.
The blaze was deemed to have been deliberate and police say they are investigating after a number of youths and possibly a red Ford vehicle were noted at the scene just before the alert.

The full cost of the damage to the new properties has yet to be confirmed.
Officers are keen that anyone who was in the area at the time, and may have seen anything suspicious, or anyone who may have information about the incident, dial 101 and ask for Helensburgh police office.
Work on the new properties, being built for Argyll Community Housing Association by Helensburgh construction firm Stewart & Shields, began in January 2019 after planning permission was granted by Argyll and Bute Council in July 2017.
