A HELENSBURGH business owner who is embracing the coronavirus lockdown could soon be set to lose her own locks in aid of charity.
Angela Macfarlane, who runs health and wellbeing studio Fitforlife, in West Clyde Street, has pledged to shave her hair to raise money for the Marie Curie Cancer Care charity.
After being challenged by friends to trim her top, Angela is now asking local residents to support her stunt and donate to the cause - and if the prospect of a baldy napper wasn't daunting enough, the whole thing will be streamed live on social media if the fund-raising target is met.
She told the Advertiser: "I'm very confident of reaching the £5,000 target. I'm hoping people will get behind it.
"There's a real community feel about everybody right now and social media is keeping people going so it would be really nice if everyone got behind it.

"I am no spring chicken so to shave your hair at my age, put it on Facebook and then to do it live is quite a big deal."
The 59-year-old has set up a JustGiving page for donations, with the enticing summary of her plan reading: "If you want to see a nutter shaving her own nut, live, real soon, get your donation in."
More than £100 was raised in less than 24 hours and Angela said there's no going back now.
"My feelings are mixed with lots of horror and excitement," she added.
"My sons will probably be filled with horror and laughter, they're not exactly on board with it.

"Marie Curie is my favourite charity, they just do some amazing work and I've raised lots of money for them in the past.
"Everybody has been touched by cancer and the comfort that the Marie Curie charity bring to people and their loved ones is just brilliant, it's incredible.
"Everyone that knows me knows it's my favourite charity.
"I'm always looking for opportunities to help people and that's what my business is about as well."
