A MAN'S body has been found on the Rosneath peninsula beachfront.
Police confirmed on Monday morning that the body of a man was found on the beachfront between Rosneath Point, Rosneath and Kilcreggan at around 12.10pm on Sunday, April 5.
The family of local man George Sutherland, missing since early March, have been made aware of the discovery.
Mr Sutherland, 45, was last seen near to Dalreoch train station in Dumbarton on Sunday, March 8.

A police statement said the death was not being treated as suspicious and added: "Formal identification is yet to take place and a post-mortem examination will be carried out in due course to establish the exact cause of death."
Less than two weeks ago the body of another man was found in Kilcreggan.
Formal identification later revealed the man to be 35-year-old Ryan Borland, from Glasgow, who had previously been reported missing.
