A MAN who is accused of raping a woman on various occasions at properties in Helensburgh, Rosneath and Cove over a period of three-and-a-half years will go on trial in the autumn.
David Millard was due to appear before a jury at the High Court in Glasgow, charged with 10 separate offences.
But after a motion to adjourn the trial was granted, he will return to court on October 5.
The 37-year-old, of George Street in Alexandria, denies a charge of assaulting a woman at properties in Airdrie, Helensburgh, Rosneath and Cove between March 2011 and November 2014.

Prosecutors claim that he attempted to throw a TV set at the woman, forced her head into a urine-soaked rug, struck her on the body with a baton and spat on her face.
He is also alleged to have shouted, sworn, behaved aggressively, damaged furniture, urinated on the floor, walls and furniture, and sent threatening and abusive messages to the woman between the same dates at the same properties, and at other properties in Clydebank and Dumbarton.
In August 2011, he is alleged to have exposed two children to unnecessary suffering or injury by consuming drugs in their presence while being responsible for looking after them.
Mr Millard is also charged with raping the same woman at a property in Helensburgh between January and May 2012, and at a home in Rosneath in November 2012 – where, it is alleged, he also repeatedly forced food into the woman’s mouth, restricting her breathing.
On various occasions between November 2012 and April 2014, at homes in Rosneath and Cove, he is accused of raping the woman, of threatening her, and of striking her on the head with a baton.
A further charge alleges that he raped the same woman at a property in Rosneath on another occasion in January 2014.
