Cove Burgh Hall is hosting a special lunch event this weekend with one of Scotland’s best-known, and best-loved, actors.
Bill Paterson will be in conversation with Peninsula resident and Advertiser columnist Ruth Wishart at the community-owned facility on Sunday, March 1.
Bill has been a familiar face – and voice – on our TV screens since the 1970s.
Recently he has starred in Guilt, Fleabag and Outlander, while he played Dr Douglas Monaghan in three series of the BBC drama Sea Of Souls, and has been the narrator for many TV series – and for the BBC’s annual coverage of the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo.

He has also appeared in many films, among them the big-screen adaptation of Roald Dahl’s children’s novel The Witches in 1990, and as Private Frazer in the 2016 film version of favourite TV comedy Dad’s Army.
Bill and Ruth will be in conversation while you enjoy a tasty lunch of home-made soup and a sandwich.
Lunch is available from 12.30pm, and Bill is on from around 1pm; there will also be a bar and raffle.
Tickets (£10) are available online from coveburghhall.uk and at local outlets.
