POLICE arrested a Helensburgh man last week for allegedly attacking another male with a machete and robbing him.
Officers attended a report of a man having suffered injuries following an alleged assault in West Princes Street on Thursday, February 6.
The victim, 36, was reportedly found with cuts to his fingers and wrist after being struck with the weapon at around 9.45pm.

A man fitting the description of the suspect was later arrested in East Clyde Street after struggling with police.
The 30-year-old male is alleged to have stolen possessions from the victim after threatening him in West Clyde Street before the alleged attack.
The Helensburgh resident was charged with alleged serious assault, robbery and resisting arrest, and was held in custody to appear at Dumbarton Sheriff Court.
