POLICE in Helensburgh have issued an appeal to local farmers to be on high alert after a number of lambs were allegedly stolen from a farm near the town.
Between January 21 and 26, 12 lambs and a ewe were reportedly taken from a farm off the A82 between Arden and Luss.
The lambs were Scottish blackface lambs with orange tails, and would have been tagged and marked around the ears.

Police are encouraging farms and farmers in the area to be vigilant and to report any similar thefts if they occur.
