A PET owner has been charged after her dog allegedly bit a 10-year-old boy in a Helensburgh street.
The youngster was said to have been walking in Malcolm Place on the afternoon of Monday, January 20 when a collie type dog reportedly jumped up and bit him on the thigh area as he passed.

A puncture wound on his leg required stitches and the owner of the dog, a 31-year-old local woman, was traced and charged with alleged contravention of the Dangerous Dogs Act.
Police say a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal and the owner has “put measures in place to prevent a repeat of this incident”.
