DOG owners in Helensburgh have been urged to ensure their pets are kept under control around livestock after a sheep was reportedly attacked in the area.
Ministry of Defence Police officers were stopped in Glen Fruin on the morning of Friday, January 10 by a woman who had lost her dog.
The animal was then allegedly spotted attacking a pregnant ewe nearby.

Police Scotland were subsequently contacted and attended the scene, where the farmer removed the injured sheep for veterinary attention.
Police say an enquiry is ongoing to trace the female owner of the dog with a view to charging her.
