A WOMAN received 24 stitches to her face and head after allegedly being attacked with a broken glass bottle in Helensburgh last week.
Police attended Williamson Drive on the afternoon of Wednesday, November 20, in response to reports of a female having been assaulted.
A 35-year-old woman alleged that she had been assaulted by a second woman, a 41-year-old, who was later identified and found with numerous cuts to her face.

Police then arrested the 35-year-old, from Maitland Court, for allegedly striking the other woman with a broken glass bottle resulting in several lacerations to the victim’s face and head.
The victim was taken to hospital where she received stitches to her wounds and the 35-year-old suspect was taken to Clydebank police office where she was charged with alleged serious assault and possession of a weapon.
She was held in custody to appear at Dumbarton Sheriff Court and was later released on bail.
