THE organisers of the Helensburgh Santa Dash have announced that entry is now open for the 2019 event.
The dash will once again form part of the Helensburgh Winter Festival, and will start in Colquhoun Square at 12 noon on Sunday, December 1 with a display from The Dance Academy and a warm-up led by Rachel Peddie-Temple from Fit For Life.
The race is once again being organised by the Helensburgh and District Round Table, whose chairman, Graham Smith, said: “The weather is looking pretty good, so we ho-ho-hope to fill the square with Santas again.
“The event is great fun for all the family, and is good for your ‘elf’. All participants will get a Santa Hat and receive a goodie bag at the finish line.

“Any profits from the event will be shared between the Helensburgh and Lomond Foodbank and Visiting Friends, so your participation is also helping others in the community have a happier Christmas.”
Entry to the event is online at santa-dash.eventzilla.net, via the Round Table website or via the festival’s website.
The festival takes place in and around Colquhoun Square on Saturday, November 30 and Sunday, December 1 – more details in the next print edition of the Advertiser, on sale on Thursday, November 28, and on this site in the next few days.
