HELENSBURGH’S lifeboat crew went to the rescue of a leisure craft which got into difficulty off Cove Bay.
The RNLI volunteers were called out at 6.10pm on Tuesday, October 15 to go to the aid of an eight-metre yacht, which had three people on board and had got a creel pot line wrapped around its propeller near Barons Point.
The lifeboat was launched at 6.24pm and reached the vessel 11 minutes later.

Once the yacht’s propeller was freed by the lifeboat crew, the vessel was escorted to Cardwell Bay off Gourock.
The lifeboat returned to its station at Rhu Marina at 7.35pm.
