THERE was no butcher, baker or candlestick maker but Helensburgh’s plethora of inspiring individuals still covered much of the creative spectrum at a recent talent exhibition in the town.
Parishioners at St Michael and All Angels Church enjoyed a craft fair with a difference on as they gathered to show off their work.
The event at the William Street church offered a chance for visitors to buy an early Christmas gift or two and there was more than a fair share of delightful items to choose from.

Among the specialist articles which caught the eye of our photographer Tom Watt were beautiful landscape paintings by highly regarded Helensburgh-based artist Julia Gurney, magnificent rocking horses created by Shaun Hoey, a former Royal Navy warship designer, model boats made by Derek Spall, and tapestry artworks produced by Joan Thompson.
