A GAMES club for over-60s has launched in Helensburgh.
Alison Gildea, who is also coordinator of 1000 Voices and runs the Grey Matters group that organises weekly events and activities for the elderly, has set up the Game On club.
From card games and chess to classics like Ludo, Monopoly and Scrabble, there will be something for everyone and the group has already had a positive response.

When resident Elizabeth Lambert heard about the idea she shared it on social media, prompting a raft of donations from the community.
Claire from Claire Burns Dance School and Val from the Toy Shop on West Clyde Street got in touch to say they would like to help and offered to donate brand new games, which members of the newly formed club were only too happy to collect.
Alison said: “1000 Voices is about reducing social isolation in older people and these games will give our group hours of fun. Our sincere thanks to Claire, Val and Elizabeth for helping us.”

Game On runs weekly in Helensburgh Parish Church at 1.30pm after getting under way last Thursday, October 3, and is free to join.
Anyone wishing to join is free to bring along their own games and any further donations of new, pre-owned or unwanted games would be welcomed.
