TOURISM group Love Loch Lomond has joined a new west of Scotland campaign promoting water-based holidays.

It is one of 22 groups backing West Coast Waters, a campaign aimed at getting visitors on, or in, the water during 2020.

VisitScotland has pumped £40,000 into the initiative, which also has Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park as a partner.

David Adams McGilp, VisitScotland’s regional director, said: “West Coast Waters is a multi-destination collaborative effort to realise the extraordinary potential of the maritime environment up and down the region.

“This exciting new campaign will showcase the vast marine tourism offering of Scotland’s west coast and bring visitors to the area to discover this offering for themselves.

Visitors to the loch can enjoy activities including water skiing, various cruises as well as taking a trip on the water bus which allows them to visit key destinations around the area.
