It's alleged that a 16-year-old male pupil from Barge Court in Rhu was verbally abusive to one of the attending police officers; he was charged with a disorder offence and issued a recorded police warning.
A Waitrose spokesperson confirmed there was a "minor disturbance" at the Helensburgh shop, adding: "We're grateful to the police for their swift response and as they were involved it wouldn't be appropriate for us to comment further."
