TWO girls reported missing from Edinburgh were arrested in Helensburgh last week after allegedly abusing staff at a town centre supermarket and assaulting police officers.
The girls, aged 12 and 14, were arrested for alleged disorderly and abusive conduct towards staff members at the Co-op on Sinclair Street on Wednesday evening, August 21.
Police attended the store at around 7.30pm in response to calls regarding two young females causing a nuisance.

While being put into the police vehicle, the girls are said to have assaulted two officers by repeatedly spitting on them.
The youths were identified as missing from Edinburgh and were later taken back to their home addresses.
Both have been referred to the children’s reporter for a disorder offence and two counts of police assault.
