A MAN has been charged with serious assault after allegedly striking a woman with a piece of furniture at a house in Garelochhead.
Police attended an address in the village on Wednesday, July 31, after receiving a call regarding an ongoing disturbance within the property.

After a search of the local area, a 35-year-old man from Dalkeith was located at Glen Douglas and arrested for alleged drink driving.
The man was taken to Clydebank police station and held in custody to appear at Dumbarton Sheriff Court on both alleged charges.
