A HELENSBURGH man was detained by police for allegedly assaulting a police officer and headbutting, punching and biting two other men.
The 44-year-old, from West Princes Street is alleged to have kicked out at officers who approached him in a common close.
Police attended the address in James Street in the early hours of Monday, July 29 after responding to calls about alleged assaults at the location.

A further enquiry identified the man as having allegedly been responsible for assaulting a 57-year-old man by headbutting him and assaulting another 57-year-old man by punching and biting him.
The man was taken to Clydebank police station and held in custody to appear at Dumbarton Sheriff Court.
