A 67-YEAR-OLD woman has died following a road accident on the A82 in Dumbarton.
The woman was a passenger in a Land Rover which was travelling eastbound on the trunk route near Dunbritton Road when it struck a Volkswagen Passat travelling in the opposite direction on Friday morning.
Police are now appealing for any information from people who witnessed the incident, or who has dash-cam footage of the crash, to contact them "as a matter of urgency".

Police said in a statement: "Around 9.15am on Friday morning, a 74-year-old man was driving a Land Rover car eastbound on the A82 Stirling Road to Dumbarton Road.
"At a point near to Dunbritton Road, it appears that the vehicle went out of control, crossed the central reservation and struck a Volkswagen Passat car being driven in the opposite direction.
"Emergency services attended and the 74 year-old driver of the Land Rover was taken by ambulance to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley where he is being treated for his injuries. He was not seriously injured.
"The 67-year-old female passenger from the Land Rover was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow but unfortunately died this afternoon from her injuries.
"A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal."

The 53-year-old driver of the Volkswagen was treated at the scene for his injuries and did not require hospital treatment.
The road was completely closed westbound towards Helensburgh, and partially shut in the eastbound direction, for several hours to allow emergency services access to the location of the crash.
The investigation into the crash is being led by Sergeant Archie McGuire from the road policing department at Dumbarton police station.
