A LEARNING disability charity’s Helensburgh branch is £2,000 better off this week – thanks to the Royal Navy’s amateur boxers.
A charity boxing event at HMS Neptune, the Navy’s shore-based establishment at HM Naval Base Clyde, raised £2,000 for the Helensburgh and District branch of Enable.
The charity says the donation – handed over by CPO PT Rob Greetham – will help to secure the future of its work in Helensburgh for years to come.

Spokesman Tony Pearson said: “On behalf of the branch we would like to thank all at Neptune for their continued support.
“The branch is run entirely by volunteers and is subsidised by numerous fund-raising activities and kind donations from the public.
"This donation will go a long way to supporting the welfare and morale of everyone connected to the branch.”
