All roads lead to Rhu this Saturday, June 8, and the annual Rhu and Shandon Gala Day.
The gala day takes place between 12 noon and 4pm in the grounds of the Royal Northern and Clyde Yacht Club in the village – though the day’s festivities start with the gala day parade, beginning at Rhu Marina at 12 noon.
Once the parade, led by this year’s Gala King and Gala Queen, reaches the RNCYC, the fun really begins, with lots of entertainment for children and grown-ups.

Along the with many and varied attractions, the afternoon is set to feature a full programme of events, including lots of family races from 2.30pm onwards – fiercely contested by the adults in particular, if past years are anything to go by! – and concluding at 4pm with the team tug-of-war.
