HELENSBURGH'S lifeboat was called out on Monday night after receiving a report of two men in the water off Gourock.
The volunteer RNLI crew was called into action after a report from HM Coastguard at 9.04pm.

It was discovered that two men had been on a dinghy when the rudder snapped; they managed to secure the dinghy to a buoy and began swimming ashore.
One of the men made it to the shore safely, while the other climbed aboard a moored yacht, where he was picked up by the lifeboat and taken ashore to waiting paramedics.
