A HELENSBURGH teenager has been charged with assault after allegedly punching a 15-year-old girl and spitting on another at Cardross railway station.
The two females, from Helensburgh and Alexandria, are said to have tried to intervene whilst the 15-year-old boy, from Buchanan Road, was being disruptive towards other people at the station on the evening of Friday, May 24.

After attempting to de-escalate the situation, one of the girls was allegedly punched in the face by the male youth and the other was spat on, before police arrived a short time later.
The youth was charged with two common assaults and taken to Clydebank police office before being released into the care of his mum.
