TWO members of Helensburgh Boys’ Brigade received the organisation’s highest honours at a special ceremony last week.
Corporals Ben Davis and Simon Bianchet were awarded The Queen’s Badge as they signed off their latest session.
The presentation was made even sweeter for Ben as his grandfather, Rev Jim Brown, attended. He is a former minister of the old Helensburgh Park Church – now the Buddhist Meditation Centre of Scotland on Charlotte Street – and a former chaplain of the company, who won one of the BB’s first Queen’s Badges in 1953.
Linda Kinniburgh, wife of Argyll and Bute councillor David Kinniburgh, presented various badges and trophies on the night.
