THE Sunday at Seven concert series at Helensburgh Parish Church continues this weekend when Trio Mallarmé play on Sunday, May 26 at 7pm.
Violinist Barbara Downie, cellist Rosie Townhill and pianist Claire Haslin will perform Ravel’s magnificent Piano Trio in A minor.
A native of Glasgow, Barbara Downie joined the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra in 2005 after spending several years studying and working in the USA.

She is also one half of the Kilnaish Duo, alongside another member of this Sunday’s line-up, Claire Haslin.
Claire studied at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama; she has since gone on to work with the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Scottish Opera and Glasgow University’s music department.

Rosie Townhill, another RSAMD graduate, has played with the Scottish Ballet orchestra and the Scottish Symphony Orchestra, as well as sessions for Scottish singer-songwriters Michael Marra, Isobel Campbell and Stevie Jackson.
The concert lasts one hour. Entry is free with an opportunity to give a donation as you leave. Contact the church on 01436 676880.
