YOUNG singing stars who took part in the recent Matinee at the Musicals event in Helensburgh handed over cheques worth more than £5,500 to two cancer charities this week.
A grand total of £5,545 was raised from the successful shows, which were held at the Tower Digital Arts Theatre in February.
The host venue decided to waive their share of the money from the performances, meaning the entire pot was split between Myeloma UK and the Beatson Cancer Charity.
