A MAN who fled from a Helensburgh street after allegedly causing a disturbance outside a property, and reportedly went back to the scene with a hammer, was arrested by police.
The incident took place on Thursday, May 2, in East King Street.

Officers found no trace of the man upon arrival but received information that he had returned to his home and was in possession of the weapon.
The 26-year-old from West Clyde Street was traced to the Co-op car park where he made off, but he was later caught and arrested in connection with the alleged incident.

The man was also charged with a disorder offence due to his alleged conduct towards officers.
He was taken to Clydebank police station and held in custody to appear at Dumbarton Sheriff Court.
