POLICE in Helensburgh reportedly recovered a knife from a man’s bag before arresting him in the town.
Officers were called out to Castle Avenue on the evening of Wednesday, May 1, after receiving reports of concern over a heavily intoxicated man in the area.
Once at the scene, the 31-year-old, from Clydebank, was traced and discovered to be under the influence of alcohol and possibly of controlled drugs.

He is then alleged to have become verbally abusive towards the officers and resisted arrest.
He was eventually taken to Clydebank police station, where he was held overnight.
