ARGYLL and Bute Council has re-advertised the lease of Helensburgh’s new Hermitage Park pavilion – 10 months after it was first put up for let.

The authority renewed its appeal via social media on Friday, May 3 for would-be tenants to take on the running of the facility at the newly-refurbished park.

It was reported in January that the council was thought to have identified an occupant for the pavilion, although no name was ever revealed.

Offers to take over the operation of the Passivhaus design pavilion should be around £18,000 per year for 10 years.

A Facebook post by the council said: “Helensburgh Hermitage Park Pavilion is rapidly taking shape.

“The pavilion will include a café and a kiosk, and we’re inviting expressions of interest from prospective tenants.

“This is an opportunity for you to play a key role in the future of the park, which has recently undergone a £3.6million restoration and redevelopment.”

There is no deadline for bids listed on the council’s website.
