GREY Matters members were put through their paces recently as they were given a crash course in CPR.
The group for over-60s Helensburgh residents got hands on with some mannequins as community firefighter Iain Hunter taught them how to recognise signs of cardiac arrest and carry out emergency action.
The course, called Call Push Rescue, was devised by the British Heart Foundation and also showed participants how public access defibrillators work, highlighting their vital role in the life-saving process.

Organiser Alison Gildea said around 30 members took part and received certificates after an enjoyable morning, which although it was serious and potentially life-saving, was delivered with humour.
She added: "The group thoroughly enjoyed the training.
"Hopefully they will never need to use their new skills but they are well prepared if they do."
