HELENSBURGH’S lifeboat crew rescued a stranded power boat driver last week after both of the vessel’s engines failed.
The RNLI team were called into action on Friday, May 3 shortly before 6.30pm after receiving a request from HM Coastguard to assist a 17-foot cabin cruiser adrift off Gourock.

The boat was successfully towed to Greenock and the lifeboat crew returned to base and were ready for service again at 8pm.
