HELENSBURGH police have recovered a stolen mountain bike worth around £450.
The bike was left lying for a short time by its 14-year-old owner on Glen Fruin Road on Monday, April 22 and was taken by a male cycling towards the town.
After the theft was reported to police, local intelligence received by officers provided the names of a person or persons believed to have been involved.

A forensic exam is being carried out prior to its return to its owner and police say they are hopeful of identifying and arresting the person responsible for the theft.
