VOLUNTEERS in Cove and Kilcreggan have been rolling up their sleeves to help get the area looking spick and span in time for Easter.
The event was organised by Cove and Kilcreggan Community Council, and adds to the efforts of pupils at Kilcreggan Primary School and members of the Cove and Kilcreggan Youth Cafe, featured in the Advertiser last month, to keep the area free of marine litter and raise wider awareness of the problem of beach litter and plastic waste.

A group of helpers gathered at Kilcreggan pier on Saturday morning to undertake a litter pick and beach clean around the centre of the village.
Saturday’s small but enthusiastic band of volunteers collected 18 bags of rubbish in the course of their clean-up.
