TWO restaurants will be flying the flag for Helensburgh at the eighth annual Scottish Entertainment and Hospitality Awards next month.
La Barca is hoping to make it six in a row after being shortlisted in the Best World Cuisine category – a crown the Spanish tapas bar and eatery has retained since 2014.
And Cattle and Creel, a steak and seafood restaurant on West Clyde Street, has also been named as a finalist in the Best Scottish Restaurant category.

Owners Cara and Milan Nikolic praised their “fantastic staff” for putting both restaurants in the line-up.
Cara said: “The fantastic teams at both restaurants have worked really hard this year to get here and we’re all over the moon to make the finals.
“They are both tough categories with some great restaurants from across Scotland taking part.
“It’s a brilliant achievement in itself to make the shortlists and it’s great to see Cattle and Creel getting the recognition it deserves.
“It would be amazing if it was their year to bring back a title to Helensburgh.”

Cara added: “La Barca has done itself proud year after year and continues to go from strength to strength.
"We will be making sure everything is tip top so we can prove to the judges we’re still the best.”
The awards ceremony will take place in Glasgow on Sunday, April 28.
