POLICE in Helensburgh recovered a quantity of suspected controlled drugs after stopping two men in Helensburgh at the weekend.
Officers on uniform patrol had reason to stop the two males around 6pm on Saturday, March 2 in John Street, and detained both for a search under the Misuse of Drugs Act.
The men were searched at the scene and a personal amount of both herbal cannabis and cannabis resin was allegedly recovered from one, a 31-year-old from Williamson Drive in Helensburgh.
A personal amount of the drug was also allegedly recovered from the other man, a 28-year-old from the town's John Street.
A report has been sent to the procurator fiscal.
